We stayed just outside of Durango but the Texas grill had the best food. It was on the main strip right in town by the Wal-mart. We didn't go to any bars in the area but went on the …

We stayed just outside of Durango but the Texas grill had the best food. It was on the main strip right in town by the Wal-mart. We didn't go to any bars in the area but went on the Durango-Silverton train ride and it was the best way to see the sights! We enjoyed the trip there and back. Silverton is a great old mining town with lots of areas to ride in and the history there is great! I did do a ghost walk through the town of Durango and it was very interesting and fun!

SO SORRY this response is so late! I am supposed to get an email notification when someone posts a question but I did not receive one. At any rate, Downtown Durango has close to 100 different eateries, bars, coffee shop and desert places. They are all great in my opinion. I would need to know more of what you are looking for ... kid friendly? outdoor dining options? large party? estimate of what you want to spend per entree? Then we can give you a good referral or two or three.

Most are open, but they can only do take out orders for now. You can read about the ‘Safer at Home’ order at Covid19.Colorado.gov.
