Beautiful place, we would like to see this place in the summer too, but now in November it was nice that there weren't so many people here, Pravčická was open on weekends in November. Full review by Marie M

Hello. I wish to visit Bohemian Switzerland National Park / Pravcicka Brana in Dec end, between Christmas and New Year. 1. Is the park / trail open in winters? 2. Is the hike manageable and can this be done on our own as I don't want to go through a trek agency? 3. Can this be done as a one day tour from Prague? Thanks.

We followed a tour and the tour guide told us that the trail might be closed in winter. you better check it before. I think it is totally fine to go by yourself if you just stick in the part in Czech. We joined the tour just because we would like to go to the German part as well. you can do the trip in one day in Prague. You just need to check the time table carefully. I suggest you start very early before 7am if possible. you know you need to take train and the bus. you could return at about 4-5pm.
Q:
Is there a way to see the bridge without walking too much? My 83-yr old mother is travelling with us.
A:
unfortunately only walking, steep, rocky. if granny is in shape, then walking slowly, helping her on a way could be done. If she has trouble walking, it would be tough.
