Basically the answer is Yes. They give you a free timed ticket for just walking thru on a self guided tour at a kiosk in front of the Alamo. You can also buy a guided tour ticket at this kiosk, and they only have so many per day. We had to wait for the next day to have that tour, as only so many are allowed on these guided tours. It was well worth it, as the guide was very knowledgeable, gave many back stories to the events and why they happened.

We are in an RV and didn't see any. The Alamo is downtown and parking around downtown is small, limited and pricey. You could park at one of the larger missions, visit it and call an Uber/Lyft. We stayed at an RV park and used Uber/Lyft. You can call the San Antonio Parking Office to see where you can park. Thar's what we do when we visit a city with limited parking.

Everything we did at the Alamo was free. No admission fees. The grounds are amazing. Not sure about the riverboats, if you don’t want the tour, just get the all day pass to ride the boat like a taxi and get on and off when you want. It’s cheaper and they still tell you information and history on the various buildings as you ride.
