Mattel's Barbie doll of Aaliyah was released on Thursday to honor the late singer on what would've been her 46th birthday and it sold out on the company's website in a matter of hours.

The Aaliyah doll has been released as a part of the Barbie Music Collector Series, which has included collectible dolls of Stevie Nicks, Gloria Estefan, David Bowie and Tina Turner, among others.

Mattel has released a special edition Barbie doll inspired by Aaliyah to commemorate what would have been her 46th birthday, created in collaboration with her brother.

The much-anticipated Aaliyah Barbie doll, released at midnight on January 16, 2025, on MattelCreations.com, sold out in just 30 minutes. Retailing for $64.99, the doll was accompanied by a one-year membership to Barbie Club 59, granting members access to exclusive deals and early product releases.
