The Rams naturally want to get clarity on quarterback Matthew Stafford’s status sooner rather than later. Although it is not yet a sure thing, it sounds as if the soon-to-be 37-year-old passer is prepared to continue his playing career.

Loveland is 6-foot-5 and is a terrific athlete, making him a legitimate receiving threat at the tight end spot. The Rams lacked playmakers around Puka Nacua last season and Loveland would give them a player who can catch passes down the seam and stretch field against linebackers and safeties.
