The world's largest coffee café chain announced on Monday a reversal on a policy where visitors will not now be required to purchase something, anything if they want to hang out at their facility and use the restroom.

Starbucks is changing its policy so that people who use the store to go to the bathroom or hang out must purchase something. It marks a change from its open-door policy in place since 2018. That original change came after two Black men were arrested in a Philadelphia location where they planned to have a business meeting but didn't purchase anything.
