Lions right tackle Penei Sewell will not participate in the event this weekend in Florida due to an injury, the team announced on Monday. He’ll be replaced by the Lions left tackle, Taylor Decker, who will be making his first Pro Bowl appearance in his ninth NFL season.

That'll make it a full eight Lions players who can add a Pro Bowl to their resume this offseason. Detroit had seven players make the initial roster — quarterback Jared Goff, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, center Frank Ragnow, Sewell, safety Brian Branch and punter Jack Fox — and had 11 players named as alternates.

This is Decker’s first-ever Pro Bowl in his nine-year career. Decker was Detroit’s first-round pick back in the 2016 NFL Draft and has maintained his starting position at left
