The Minnesota Vikings have made a quarterback depth move ahead of the team's playoff matchup next week. On Tuesday, the team announced Daniel Jones, who was signed to the practice squad in November, is now on the 53-man roster.

Days after Sam Darnold turned in an ugly performance in a pivotal Week 18 matchup with the Detroit Lions, the Minnesota Vikings have shuffled their quarterback room just in time for the NFL playoffs.

After winning the Daniel Jones sweepstakes after the former Duke quarterback was waived mid-season from his nine-figure contract by the New York Giants, it felt like only a matter of time before the Minnesota Vikings would sign the practice squad player to their roster full-time.

Minnesota missed the playoffs last season, and following the 2022 season, it was Jones that ended their run on Wild Card Weekend. His 301 yards and two touchdowns earned him a sizable payday and put the nail in the coffin for defensive coordinator Ed Donatell.
