Green Day opened up the benefit concert and were quickly joined by Eilish for a performance of the band’s “Last Night on Earth” from their 2009 album “21st Century Breakdown.” Eilish departed the stage after the duet and Green Day continued with “Still Breathing” and “When I Come Around.”
Green Day and Alanis Morissette set the tone at the FireAid benefit with songs of hope and resilience. Then came Anderson .Paak, who turned the stage at the Kia Forum into a California celebration, bringing out legendary musician Sheila E.
FireAid took over The Forum with superstar performances from Stevie Nicks, Dr. Dre, Nirvana and more to support wildfire relief and recovery.
Meanwhie, a whole host of other performances came from stars including Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder. Green Day and Billie Eilish performed the rock band’s hit Last Night on Earth together, while Joni Mitchell took to the stage aged 81 for a rare performance.
