President Donald Trump on Monday suggested sending repeat criminal offenders to foreign countries, suggesting the move may cut the government’s spending on prisons, following an escalation of arrests across the country in recent days as part of what Trump has promised would be the “largest deportation operation” in U.

Another point of concern is the Trump administration's promise of "mass deportation" efforts across the country. According to local immigration attorneys, much of what Trump wants to do would require a significant amount of resources — financially, staffing-wise and spatially.

CANTON ‒ With many fearing a mass deportation operation, about 45 people gathered Thursday evening to demonstrate against the U.S. Customs and Enforcement Administration. The protesters began assembling around 6 p.m. at Mahoning Road NE and Harmont Avenue NE, just north of where Trump Avenue NE becomes Harmont.
