Real Madrid will look to extend their lead atop the La Liga table with a win against Real Valladolid. Los Blancos are beginning to look nothing like the team that was trailing Barcelona by nine points in the first half of the 2024–25 La Liga season.

Kylian Mbappe bagged his first hattrick for Real Madrid as the La Liga champion easily beat bottom-club Real Valladolid 3-0 on Saturday to extend its lead on top of the standings.

Real Madrid were stunned by Barcelona in the final of the Spanish Super Cup on January 12, losing 5-2 in El Clasico, but their response to that result has been excellent, winning their next three against Celta Vigo, Las Palmas and Red Bull Salzburg.
