A wind shift and cold front will push a band of lake effect snow from Lake Ontario onshore, and south Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. Snow will pick up for a few hours, but only totaling an inch or two of new snow before the winds shift around and the band

The high today will be 16 to 21 degrees. A disturbance tracks in later this morning. This will give most of the area 1″ or less of snowfall. Be prepared for some slick roads given the cold temperatures.

Besides the snow and wind, skies will be cloudy. Saturday will bring highs in the upper-teens. Sunday will be colder still, as we’ll start in the teens in the morning and end in single-digits by the afternoon, due to cold air spilling into our region. Overall, the weekend will be active and chilly.
