WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday that he was committed to peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia and that he believed he would succeed in achieving that goal. "I think peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia is not only feasible, I think it's going to happen," Netanyahu told reporters in Washington.

Russia believes a settlement in the Middle East is only possible on the basis of a two-state solution, the Kremlin said on Wednesday after U.S. President Donald Trump said he would like the United States to take over and redevelop the Gaza Strip.

Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu are set to meet Tuesday. War-weary Israelis want the remaining hostages home and the 15-month conflict to end.
