Yosemite is the focus of an updated winter storm warning issued at 8:20 p.m. on Monday by the National Weather Service. The warning is valid from Tuesday 11 p.m. until Thursday, Mar. 13 at 11 p.m.

The NWS Reno NV issued a winter storm warning at 2 p.m. on Monday in effect until Thursday at 11 p.m. for Lake Tahoe.

Forecasters warned heavy snow could make roads slick and reduce visibility, making travel in some areas "very difficult to impossible."
