Aug 21, 2024 · The fence on the right is typical for a right hand person. If that is uncomfortable for you and was the only saw you used then you would be better off configuring the saw with fence on the left. The hard part might be the tape measures on the saw fences would be backwards. It may be possible to buy a left handed replacement tape, I don't know.

Jan 9, 2017 · I recently got my hands on a Craftsman 10" Benchtop Table Saw (Model #113.221740). The problem is that the original rip fence has long been lost. Most of the parts for this bad boy have been discontinued. Any idea or suggestions for a new fence that will be compatible with the saw without breaking the bank?

Sep 22, 2019 · I just recently used my fence on the right side of the blade on my bandsaw. I needed to angle rip a long 2x6 and once I tilted my table it was easier to keep the wood against the fence when it was being held in place by gravity. I use my table saw fence on the left side of the blade when making tenons on boards using a dado blade.

Mar 3, 2012 · A 2x4 laid flat will work and you won't need to cut all the way through it to finish a cut. In circumstances where you need a taller fence, you can add something to that. A lower fence can also be handy for adding toggle clamps. You certainly don't want the work moving during a cut. Too tall a fence makes holding by hand a real challenge.
