Norton has got a problem and all e-mails ignore the mention of this and simply say to upgrade or uninstall/reinstall.

Jul 11, 2005 · When I run Norton’s LiveUpdate it installs everything except the update for Norton Antivirus 2005 Program Update. LiveUpdate recognizes that there is an update available, downloads the 759K file, opens a popup window, starts to install the update, then states that the update can not be installed – call Norton tech support.

What is unusual about my situation is that the large full Norton virus definitions file is being downloaded way too often, as I stated in my original post here, in response to the failed installation of the small incremental virus definitions file.

Dec 8, 2004 · When I run liveupdate, and selects all available updates, liveupdate fails to install some update for the URL. I found out I needed to update the rest of the updates before updating the URL thing (don't know what it's called in english, because I got a danish version).
