Crimson Trace CTS-103 vs ? - AR15.COM
Dec 21, 2019 · The CTS-103 works fine. I like the red/green option. The adjusters aren't convenient since they use removable caps which can be lost. 4 moa dot is bright but hardly top of the line. I wish the riser was quick release so I easily swap the CTS for a scope. I may add a magnifier but don't want to waste money if the combo is lacking.

Jul 8, 2021 · I have used the Crimson Trace receiver model on an 870 and I have used a mag tube rail mounted light/laser on a Home-build “Raptor” PGO. More recently, I mounted a TLR-8 “upside-down” on a 1913 rail mounted to the top of a 590 Shockwave receiver (very convenient that the holes are pre-drilled). That is actually my favorite.

Jul 20, 2020 · QFT. I didn't have a laser boresight but I did have a crimson trace green laser. Threw it on top of my scope, zeroed it at however many inches it was for height over bore at 25 yards. That night I aligned my IR like 3" below that dot and called it good enough. Can ring steel at 100 yards easy enough

Sep 14, 2021 · I picked up a Crimson Trace red dot a few weeks ago at the local gun shop. $79 to throw on a beater truck gun. Took it to the range, put close to 300rds through it and it was great. Not a Trijicon or Nightforce by any means, but is pretty damned good for a No Frills $80 red dot.

Jun 10, 2017 · If you need a laser it makes sense to me to use the crimson trace models that can be activated by a switch built into the grip. Green lasers are easier to see in daylight. A lot depends on your purpose most common laser use is self defense or deterence.
