Jan 25, 2022 · In the JBL system, the head unit isn’t actually driving the speakers. It’s not actually putting out any power at all. All it’s doing is sending a data signal to the JBL amp back by the subwoofer. This data signal is the radio sending the audio signal, as well as telling the JBL amp how to set the EQ and fade/balance.

He says his AJ Pio towers are much more clear in the mid range. Are these CF100 any good? How are the crossovers' longevity? Any known problems? Im pretty sure these were refoamed before he bought them.

Sep 16, 2006 · I owned the HLS820(fronts), HLS410(sides) and HLSCenter for a number of years before upgrading to Monitor Audio Silver series speakers last year. The JBL HLS speakers are great. Back when the first came out they were considered a great back for the buck speaker. If you can get that set for that price I say jump all over it.
Center channel advice/help (JBL Studio 520c?)
Jul 3, 2019 · I recently auditioned and decided to keep a pair of JBL Studio 590s. They are incredible towers and I'm in love with their sound. When I purchased them, I grabbed a JBL Studio 520c also, thinking I would need a matching center channel for that cohesive, timbre matched front sound stage. Unfortunately, the 520c sounds almost nothing like the 590s.
