The Xbox series xs controller though is the first time I've ever had a controller shit the bed on my in less than 3 months. Stick drifts up AND gets slightly stuck in the down position. Xbox has given up on quality .

Because Xbox makes so much money putting in a $2 joystick in a $200 elite series 2 controller and having them drift/break and sent out for service, that’s why Xbox makes so much money do this. Meanwhile the standard Xbox series X/S thumbstick cost less then 1$ in a $60-$70 controller that’s even weaker then the elites.

Oct 19, 2021 · Recently bought an Xbox controller of Amazon to use on my PC, every ~2 minutes while playing the controller disconnects for a couple of seconds before reconnecting. I already sent it back once, got a new one and have the exact some issues. My Switch Pro Controller works perfectly fine, though. Any ideas what the issue is and how I could fix it?

The goal is to keep your thumbs on the sticks as much as possible while playing, so i use two paddles, one for the A button, and the other for B button. For editing I have Left Stick for edit, Right Stick for reset edit, and Left Stick to confirm edit.

An Elite controller is worth getting an extended warranty IMO. I've replaced at least 2 via an extended warranty(an Elite 1, and an Elite 2). I don't think you'll wear one out in the original warranty unless you are really hard on your controllers, but I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to take advantage of an extended warranty.

Feb 10, 2021 · It seems like MS discontinued the chatpad so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't make it Elite Series 2 compatible. I even notice the firmware number of Elite 2 is lower than Xbox One S controller. This means nothing. They're two different pieces of hardware. Their firmware is completely different.

Mar 5, 2022 · There was an issue of random disconnecting with the Xbox Elite 2 so the Deck now sees the controller as a generic wireless Xbox controller and you no longer have the paddle customization options in Steam Input for the controller. It's sadly been that way for around 2 months now (maybe a week after I posted the original comment.)

May 15, 2016 · Over the past 2 weeks, my Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller has been going from a full charge to the "low battery" message in about 3 Rocket League matches (~21 minutes). WTF!? Ok, calm. Maybe the battery is going bad? I'll just use my other Xbox One® battery pack. Damn, same issue! Let's investigate further.
